Smith Cup Retained By Havelock North waipukurau challenge Conditioxxs ,vvere ideal for play on the Havelock North green yesterday afterncon, when the third elxallexxgethis seasoxi for the Smith Qup was played, W aipukurau being the challengers on this occasion. The playing area was fast and true and the "Waipukurau men had some difiiculty in "fitxding" the green. The Havelock four were always in the lead and won 24—15. The teams were: Waipukurau: Givexx Carlson, Burfield, Cook 15; Havelock North: lliiey, Cummins, Hay, Heenan 24. Following are the details of the other games played.— Ritchie, OJdham, G. Joll 20; Brooks, E. Joll, Toulmin, Coombe 12. Boyle and Rush 22 ; Rose and Smith 20. Hastings : Russell, Aitken, Cohr, Davis 17 ; Havelock North : Carey, Flanders, Cfdnxbis, Wilson 19. The Havelock Club will lxold a "Ladies' Day" on Saturday next, when tlxe bowlers will play the croquet ladies at bowls, the bowlers to use their left hand as a handicap.
