(Received 1, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 31. Bread may soon be dearer in Britain than during the War owing to the increasing severity of the wheat porition in London. Flour millers announced the six successive increase in standard grade flour in 21 days. It is now 6/- higher per 2801bs. than on March 7, when it stood at 39/6. The price of bread was 5f d before the War but touched 9£d at the close. The peak price was Hd. in 1925. It is now 9d. with the prospect of a halfpenny increase in the next few days.
