Premier Escapes Defeat EDMONTON, March 30. Capitulating to the Budget demands of the insurgents, the Premier (Mr. W. Aberhart) escaped defeat in the Legislature in proposing a commission of iive to draw up a plan for consumer divi' dends. A cable received yesterday st&ted that Mr. Aberhart was overruled in the Legislature on a proposal to withdraw his Budgqt closure motipn. Twenty-ono Hocial Credit insurggnts negatiygd the. [jrox)osal withmit a vote being taken. The insurgents insigted that Mr. Aber. hart's Budget jnade an insufficient attcmpt to place Social Credit in effect, and proppsed & counter Budget providing fpr the payment of an unstated amount of consumers' dividends, and i'or interest-free farm loans.
