I WELLINGTON, Last Night. ! Compulsory physicai training to rcplac« military training in all schools' was a recommendatiou sent forward toj the Minister of Education by the New1 Zealand Labour Party Conference to'day. A further recommendatiou was jthat every encouragement be given to •organisations which promote participa'tion in athletic sports. Means of raising the 'status of women in domestic service were discussed. Several women delegates spoke of the urgent need for making domestic service more attractive apd raising it to a imore respected place acumg the occuipations. The conference recommended to the Government. that institutions bc 'established in the four main centres !for trainjng domesfcie workers and that investigation be made with a viaw to giving them a higher standing in the community.
