H.M.S. New Zealand's White Ensign GIFT TO MUSEUM

WELLINGTON, Last Night. Oue of the most interesting reiicg of H.M.S, Now Zealand has bees presenteil te -the Dorsinlon Mugguis. It is the white Ensign fiown by the battle-cruiser during the battle pf Jutland in Mny, 1916. Other relics froni her rest in the muaeum, but this tattered piece of bunting is probably the most desirable ©f all. Accompanying the flag is a certificate written by Admiral gir John Green certifyipg that the Ensign was fiov#i on H.M.S. New Zealand during the battle q£ Jutland, Admiral Grepn was captgin of the warship at the battle and the flag was in his pogsession for 20 years afterward. He retired from the Navy in 1927. The flag has been presenfed to the museum by Major and M?e. Hunter Blair, of Christchurch.
