MR J. R. HODGKINSON
j . A former very well known resident of Port Ahuriri, Mr John RichaTd Hodgkinson, of Sandringham, Auckland/" died at his residence on Monday last The late Mr .Hodgkinson was the youngest son of the late Mr John Hodgkinson, and he resided with his father at Hardinge road, Napier, for many years. He served with Messrs Eichardson and Company for a considerable period and left their service to go to the Great War, where he served as a signaller for several years and was present in Cologne at the signing of the- Armistice. On his return he secured a ' position in the Auckland Tramways, in whose employ he was at the time of his death. A married man, he leaves a Wife and two children to mourn their loss. The late Mr Hodgkinson 's mother survives him, and Messrs Edward Hodgkinson, Riverbend road, Tom, of Hastings, Arthur, of Wellington, Ernest, of Auckland, aro surviving brothers, and Mrs Grace Hollaby, of Gisborne, and Mrs Hnse Tnte. of Frankton, were sisters.
