Monthly Ingleside ♦ The Hastings and Distriet Seots Society held its monthly ingleside Altliough the attendance was not overflowing, the programme waB a very talented one. Owing to the illness of Chief H. W. d. Bairo, Chieftaih P. J. Priest occupied the chair. Ih his opening remafks Chxeftain Priest welcomed tlie meuibers and the visitors and also teferred to the regrttable absence, through illness, Of the chiefs The vocal solos of Mfs Priest, Miss ; Pimley and Miss Rae Saunders wero i greatly enjoyed, each artist having to respoud to encores. Mr Tom Johnston was in remdrkaLle good Voice, his songs being muCh appfeciated. The fecitatious of Mr P. J. Priest ahd Mr Andy Robertson brought fortjh mtich laugliter. The dancing items by Miss Pamsay wero greatly ergoyed, as also v ere the pipe selections by Mr' Dielt Watt-s, Tlie pipo band selections proved the band to be in form, their playisig being londly applauded. A vote of thanks to the artlsts was carried by acclamation. Miss Collins was aecompanist, Mr Ranisixy was M.C., and the MacKay drchfiSjti'U supplied thc hiusie. "Auld Lang Syne" brought a happy gathering to a close.
