AT7CKLANB, Last Night, The Auckland provinciah golf cham*j pionship was deeided to-day wihen H. Brinsden, the title-holder, was defeated by E. E. Bell, 3 and 2. Bell is th© youngest player ever to win the titi© having yet to attain the age of .17i years. His performance was unique ;as it was his first time of participation. •in an open tournament of any kind ,apart from tihe sehool boys' champiou-; jship which he has won for the last! itwo years. The semi-finals resulted: Brinsden jbeat B. M. George, 2 and 1; Bell beat | A. E. Browne, 3 and 2.
