Man Found Helplessly Drunk An order that tho aCeused should pay medical expenses amounting to £1 15/- or go to gaol for five days was made by Mr J MiUer; S.M., in the Napier Magistrate's Court this morning when John Canavan, of Napier, labourer, pleaded guilty to being found helplessly drunk in Byron street. Napier, on March' 25. Detective-Sergeant H. Nuttall, who prosecuted, said that the defendant had received medical treatment at the Nai pier gaol since he had' been arrested by Constable Chalmers.
