WHAKATANE, Last Night. A- four-roomed farmhouse at Awakeri owned by F. Greenup and occupied by D. McDonald, sharemilker, was tot^lly destroyed by fire in the early hours of the morning. Mr. McDonald and another man employed on the Farm returned from the skating rink at. Whakatane to find the house in fiames. Although there was a beavy rain storm at the time it was impossible to save • the building or contents, The house and milking shcd were iusured in the New [Zealand office for £500*
