WELLINGTON, Leet Nlght. The post-master-general, Hon. F. Jones, said this jevening that there has been ea all*. i Ironnd increase in the department's services and that the aggregate gain was £298,019. The comparative figures for the eleven months of 1936-37 and 193536, respectively, were:— Postagest £1,241,514; £1,129,578. Telegraphs: £291,210; £269,617. I Tolls: £508637; £454,034. ! Tejephones: £1,220,324; £1,138,589. The increase in each of the four main; classes was:— Postagea, £111,936; telegraphs,! £21,593; .tolls, £54,608; telephones, £81,735. The total revenue from all classes was £3,500,287, aa compared with £3,202,268 for the previous eleven months. §
