Mr. Maxton On Abdication "SACKED LIKE OFFICE BOY"

LONDON, MaTch 27. Mr Jaanes Maxton, M.P., chairman of the Independent Labour Party, addressing the conference cf the party in Glasgow, said that nobody present at the iast conference antieipated a constitutional crisis leading to the dismissal of tone King and the appointment of another. "We have seen how trivial an imipression the whole thing has left in the minds of the masses, indicating that 'the monarchial institutioo. does not tmatter rnuch,"' he declared. "Mr Baldwin 'b Na.tionalist Government efifectively demonstrated that the great!est and best-loved inonarch England ,ever knew could be sacked like an office boy and another office boy replace him dn 24 hours."'
