Rain Delays Tournament

HAMILTON, Mafch 28 The North Island tennis tournament which was to have opeued yesterday was postponed on account of bad weather. Two doubles matches wero played in the afternoon, resulting as foUOWi WOMEN 'S DOUBLES. Miases M. Glenny and M. Budd (Hastings) beat Misses J. Grenier and N» WhOtelan (Auckland), 6—4, 6—5. MEN'S DOUBLES, Gooch and Lewis (Anckland) beat Thompson and RiChardson (Teho©), 6—2, 6—0. There was no play this morning.
