TRIPLE MURDER
Mother, Daughter and Lodger Kiiled NEW YORITMYSTERY (Received 30, 8.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 29. Mrs. Mary Gedcon, aged 54, her daughter Veronica, aged 20, and the tenant of one of their rooms, Fraak Byrnes, aged 35, were mysterioUsly murdered in a fourth-floOr apftrtnient, • The women were beaten and strangled and Byrnes stabbed six times in the head and face With an ice pick or stiletto. The mother 's body was lying on the floor beside the bed on which was the body of her daughter. Byrnes was on the floor in another bedroom. The police theory is that the mother was alone when attacked. Byrnes arrived and retired unaware of the tragedy and was Slain in his sleep, and Veronica was next waylaid just inside the door and dragged into the bedrOom. Veronica was an 'artist's model and Byrnes was a . WaitOr Who formerly lived in Eflgland.
