Radio Emergency Corps's Conference FOUR CONTROL AREAS

PALMERSTON N., Last Night. The first nation al conference of the New Zealand Radio Emergency Corps was held on Easter Saturday. it Was deeided that the Dominion Shouid be divided into' four areas, tach under the actual control of an ari-a officer and having as many saetions as desirable, the area officers, togethet with the officer cornmanding, ts fOrm a board of control. Proposals advanced by the NdW Zealand Association of Radio Transmittefs' headquarters for the estab llshment of a network of the auxiiiary to the emergency COfpS in all towns in which the latter were not functioning, were endorsed. Mr. G. E. Taylor, Napier, was elected bffiCet COmmaliding • fOr the next three yeara. It was s'tated that the total value of the pbttable equipment in the possession of the corps was estimated at £400.
