Unworthy' s Worthy Dividend

HAWERA, Last Night. J A dividend of- over three centuries, paid on the win machine by Unworthy, the winner of the Opunake Handicap, was the sensational featur6 of the second day of the Hawera trots. There were only five len shilling tickts on the were only five ten shilling tickets on the on th.6 place machine. Unworthy is trained at Midhirst and he has been a frequent performer at A. and P. Shows on the Taranaki circuit during the past season. He started in two races on Saturday but was unplaced and he had started once prior to the win to-day. l'n the Opunake Handicap he led all the way. The second" day of the Hawera Trots were held in fine weather before a large attendance. The track was in good | order after overnight Tain and the totalisator handled £15,337 10s for tlie day, as compared with £11,459 10s last year, making a total for the meotiag of £29,724, as compared with £20,875 10s.
