MRS FRANCES JANE DARBY

The death occurred at Hastiugs yesterday of Mrs. Frances Jane Darby, uiother of Mrs. Eric L. Comniin, of Avenue road, Hastings. The late. Mrs. Darby was born in the County of Down, Ireland, in 1857 and came to New Zealand about 60 years ago, landing at Dunedin. Later she moved to Christchurch, where she was married. Some 15 years ago • Mrs. Darby came to Hawke's Bay, and durmg that period she made many staunch rrie'uds. There are left one son, Mr. William Darby, of Christchurch, and four daughters, Miss Ann Darby, of Loudon, Mrs Geo. • Hartshorn, of Melbourne, and Mrs E. L. Commih, of Hastings. The funeral took place this afternoon at the Havelock North eemetory, and the profusion of floral tributes was a striking indication of the esteem iB which the late Mrs. Darby was held
