Althougk cloudy, the weather is quite good to-day, and some interesting matches were played among the more prominent players taking part — • Miss Marjorie Macfarlane, of Auckland, an ex-New Zealand Woman champion, N. Second rbund: Mrs. Hassall beat Mites Bradlfey, 6—1, 6—2; Mfs; MaWson beat Mrs. Hawksworth, 6—0, 6—2; Misls A. Hicks beat Miss J. Palmer, 6—0, 6-^-4. Three jufiibr tennis players, MesSfM. D. Oowan, bf Hastings, have been nominated by the HaWke 's Bay Lawn Tennis Assoeiation to tako part in the New Zealand junior championships to be playOd at Wellington during Easter.
