GREYHOUND RACING

One of the largest attracuons to be staged in Napier during Easter will be the greyhound racing at League Park on Saturday. This meeting will be the biggest mechanical hare race meeting plaeed before the general public, and the largest greyhound raee meeting staged in New Zealand since the eport was first introduced to the Dominion two years ago. Nominations have been received from Wanganui, Dannevirke, Gisborne, Waipukurau and other centres. This meeting will see some ox the fastest greyhounds in the Dominion competing. As a total of 110 nominations have been received, making a total of 28 events, the committee of the Northern Hawke's Bay Greyhound Association has been forced to commence the meeting at 10 a.m. shaTp, the concluding race of the day being tiraed for 5 p.m. Under instrtictions front tho Health Department children undej' 16 Will not be admitted to the groua.d.
