Two mounted police who leffc the city early in the morning also patrolled the locality but discovered no eign of wreckage or anything to indicate where the machine might be. They kept * etrict lookout for oil patches on the rocks, hoping that if tr&ces were seen by a proeess of calculation of Tuesday 'a wiud drift and tide to work out the possible direction of where the machine was.
