Maisky (Russia) warned Count Grandi that the Itaiian Governmeut must adopt a diiferCnt attitude "if ii is not the wish to imperii the wholy peace of Europe.'' According to The Times, GoUnt Grandi 's statement was that Italy would not withdraw any of her volunteers from Spain until the war had been decided by the defeat of the Spanish Reds. The Bishop of Winchester, commenting on Signor Mussolini's speech, says: "It is interesting to find that the EngJish' pulpit has an infiuence as far away as Italy. It seems from the faot that they are so disturbed, as though the Italiamj have a bad conscience over Abyssinia.
