DEFENDED CIVIL CASES
Judgment for plaintiff for £ 2 10/-, with costs £l 16/-, was given in • civil claim made in the Hastings Magistrate's Oourt yesterday by Montagu Plank, dairy farmer, * against Lesjie Henry. Plaintiff claimed £3 15/- for damage caused to a fence on his property by defendant's car. Mr H. Holderness appeared for plaintiff Plank. and Mr W. S. Averill for defendant Henry. Judgment for defendant with costs 1/- was given in a claim made by Haurangi Timu against Julius Nitschek for £7, damage 8 for the loss of a cow, following a oollieion with defendant's car. Mr W. Le B. Helleur appeared for defendant and Mr E. J. Hallett for ' plaintiff.
