Instead of sponge; nse a bag made from butter muslin containing handful of wheat bran, a shred of soap and an ounce of powdered orris root. Softening Water. Two teaspoons of glycerine added to eaob gallon of water being used, will make the washing of fiannels easier,' Cleaning Baths. Add an equal amount of vinegar to tlie paraffin being used. Loose Covers. When making loose covers, fit large pockets at the sides, or back, for newspapers, etc.
