Three Ministers Present

WELLINGTON, Last Night. Three Ministers of the Crown, the Hons. P. Fraser, H. T. Arm'strong and P. C. Webb, attended a stopwork meeting at Wellington of the Waterside Workers' Union to-day. Mr J. Roberts, national secretary, was also present. A man present at the %ieeting stated that the Ministers had ispoken in plain terms, appealing to the uien to play the game and give their utmost co-opera-tion in the loading and discharging of cargoes. The man, who is in touch with waterside activities, stated that the position might well be described in Wellington as being not quite as tsatisfactory as it might be in regard to the rate at which some of the men are inclined to work. On the other hand, it is stated that to date watersiders had given no real cause for complaint here or at any other ports, with the exception of Auckland.
