AITCKTiAND, Last Night. (kvw beef was cheaper by up to 7/6 a head at Westfield to-day, when a large y^rding waB sold. A shortage of t>x produced firm late values in this seetion. The quality generally was satisfactory. Elxtra. choice ox sold to 33/- per lOOlbs ; choice and prime 29/to 32/-; plain, 24/- to 28/-; prime cow and heifer, 25/- to 28—; ordinary, 14/to 24/-; extra, heavy prime steers, £12 to £13 7/6; lighter, £10 to £11 15/-; Light, £8 10/- to £10 10/-; unfinished, £6 to £8 10/-; extra heavy cows and heifers, £7 5/- to £10 10/-; heavy, £6 10/- to £7 2/6; lighter, £4 to £6 7/6; unfinished, £2 10/- to £2 15/-. A limited yarding of sheep included fair quality, and a steady demand caused little alteration ih the firm values of recent .saies, Lambs were coniparatively scarce, but sold quite readily at rates on a par with those over last month. Heavy wethers made 28/- to 35/3; medium, 27/- to 30/-; light 24/6 to 29/9; unfinished 20/- to 26/9; maiden ewes, 24/- to 26/-; lieavy prime 21/6 to 23/-; lighter 18/- to 21/6; unfinished 5/- to 18/6; prime lambs, 20/- to 30/-; unfinished, 13/- to 20/-. There was a smaller yarding ot ealves. The quality was good and the demand keen throughout. Values for all classes, except heavyweight, which were easier, maintained last week's level. Runners made £2 8/- to £5 ;

heavy vealers, £3 18/- to £4 18/-; medium, £3 5/- to £3 12/-; light, £2 11/- to £2 18/-; smaller, £1 14/- to £2 4/-; unfinished, 18/- to £1 14/-; bobby and rough, 5/- {to 21/-.
