GREYHOUND RACING
Easter Meeting in Napier One of the largest attractions to be staged in Napier during Easter will be the greyhound racing at Lcague Park. This meeting will be the largest greyhound race meeting staged in New Zealand since the sport was first in,troduced to the Dominion two years ago. • Nominations have been received fcom Wanganui, Dannevirke. Gisborne, Waipukurau and other centres. The principal race of the day will be the North Island championship. Considering the large iields in this race, the winner will well deserve this title. On recent running Mr A. F. West's "Son o' Erin ' ' appears to be the strongest locally-owned dog for this title, but whether he.can outpace the dogs from other centres remains to be seen. The public are enjoined not to miss the opportunity of witnessing this meeting, which present indications euggest will be a fitting conclusion to a very successful season. As a total of 110 nominations have been received, malcing a total of 28 events, the committee of the Nortliern Hawke 's Bay Grey hound 1 Association, has been forced to commence the meeting at 10 a.m. sharp, the concluding race of the day being timed for 5 p.m. P. Greig, of Hastings, has entered Lass-o '-Gowrie for the North island championship. This dog has given many flno performances, and lovers of greyhound racing will watcb with interest the running of this dog on Easter Sa turday.
