On Saturday night a meeting eon-v-ened by the Otane Women 's lnstitute was held in the Town Hall, when representatives of the Institute, Basketball, Cricket and Football Clubs, Plunket Society, R.3.A. and Town Committee met to eonsider holding a function to raise funds to ostend the Town Hall kitchen accommodation. Mr R. H. Wliite presided and after a general dis■eussion it was deeided to hold a dance on Wednesday, May 5, and those present formed themselves into a coiumit-* tee with Mr Yoyce as seeretary to carry out the neeessary arrangements.
