CORONATION SHOWS
Wellington's Big Event Attention is drawn to an advertisement in tbis issue to'the schedule of events for the forthcoming WeUington Coronation Sbow to be held during the Coronation period. Entries for horse events at the Wellington Sbow ihavo doubled at each successive show for three years, and provision is being made for a greatly increased entry at the Coronation Show. The programme extends over three days and is considered to be the finest programme of horse events put forward in New Zealand. The events are varied and liberal prizes spread so as to cover every class of exhibitor. Tbe outstanding prize, however, will be tbe Coronation Cup, to be won outright. This is a particularly fine piece of workmansliip and will be treasured by the fortunate winner. The general attractions and amusements at the show this year wiU be more varied than ever, and as a crowd of visitors will be in Wellington for the Coronation, show patrong are ex~ pected to re.ach a record. The management is endeavouring to provide free accommodation both inside and outside for all horses5 and they ask that prospective exhibitors notify at the earliest possible date the number of stalls they wiU require. In addition to the horse events, dog trials will be held and the other competitive classes for needlework, cooking, photography and models wiU be provided for.
