Mr. Jordan in His Native Town LONDON, March 19. The freedom of his native town of Eamsgate was conferred On Mr W. J. JoTdan, New Zealand High Commissioner, who, in accdrdance with the honour, will enjoy a number of privileges, including the right to drive pigs through the streets at any hour of the day or night. The Mayor, in the presence of Aldermen, also Hon. Walter ,Nash and Mrs Nasli^ presented the cer•tiflcate Of freedom, contained in a gold and silver casket bearing the coats of ,arms of New Zealand and Bamsgate. Mr Jordan said he accepted the hon*t lOur for New Zealand as well as himself. 1 The Deputy-Mayor presented Mrs Jordan with a silver replica of tth® jRamsgate lighthOuse.
