U.S. VISITORS' INTEREST
The Honolulu Service AUC^ElLAND, Mareh 19. Keen interest in the trial flight of the Clipper Ship from San Franciseo to Auckland was displayed by American passengors on the Mariposa, which arrived this morning from the United States. Mrs. G. O. Knight, of Honolulu, said that in November last sihe made a voyage from San Francisco to Honolulu in the regular Clipper service. It was the second trip in the service, and a full complement was booked from then until February of this year. The Clipper left at 3.40 p.m. and arrived at Honolulu at 6.50 ^he next morning. She was thriUed by ih"5 es-perience of ocean air travel and its eomfort. Mr. Knight, who is oport manager for Hawaiian Cane P-oc'ucts, Lcd., said the fare by Ciippers from San Francisco to Honolulu was 340 dollars as compared with 190 dollars by steamer. The time saved made the extra moncy well worth while. The futuro of the service was ar/'*.red, and later aeroplanes capable of carrying about 40 passengers would be in service.
