OTANE, Last Night* The annual Argyll picnic was h(3ld re>* cently at Mr. Pattison's ''The Bjuw," Argyll. A large number of settleri and friends, together with the children, spent a most enjoyable day, the weather being fine. The ladies provided luncheon and afternoon tea, which wer# enjoyed by all. At the conclusion of the pienio Mr, Johnston, on behalf of the gathering, thanked Mr. Pattison for the Use of his paddock, Mr. A. E. Jull, for cordials, Messrs. Monk Senrv and Jnr. for judglng, and all who assisted to- rdake the picni'c such a success. Three chCeri wero given for the ladies fdr providing such excellent refreshments.
