CHILD PARALYSIS

No Further Cases Reported In District SUGGESTION TO PARENTS No further indication of tfie outbreak of infantile paralysis spreading in the distriot has been reported to the health authorities in Hastings or Napier, and the position continues to give satisfacs tion, for it is now four days since there was a suspected cas© reported in Hastings and the surrounding districts. In view of the fine weather now prevailing parents are earnestly urged to mahe a point of seeing that the children have adequate head covering, and it is suggested that they be encouraged not to play in the one position for any lengh of time if out in the open. It should be noted tbat children, especially 4 the very young ones, when piaying in the sand, for exaipple, do not habitually move ab6ut as would an older person and consequently they should be encouraged to change their position as much as possible.
