NAPIER'S SIGHTS

More Outside PubEcity Urged HOTEL ACCOMMODATION "As a seasid© tourist resort Napier is not getting nearly enough patronage from the people of other towns and cities in New Zealand, and I think we are showing a want of enterprise io not entering into a vigorous advertising campaign," said Mr M. Burt at last evening's meeting of the Napier Chamber of Commerce. The chairman, Mr L. O. Rolls: Before we advertise for mere visitors we must get the accomodation for them. Last Easter there was not a single room in any hotel. Mr Burt: The accomodation will soon eome if people do. A few years ago visitors to Blackpool used to sleep out in the fields, but they didn't have to a year or so later. The accommodation was soon available. He expressed the view that the Chamber should arrange for the printing of several thousand more copies of a publicity booklet entitled "Eastward Ho," and tbat Napier be advertised more comprehensively. Mr Rolls pointed out that he did not think that would be possible, but he agreed with Mr Burt, as did other members, tbat Napier should be advertised outside of the province as much as possible.
