FAREWELL PARTY & GIFT FOR WAIPAWA RESIDENT

A very happy little farewell party, given by Mrs. E. G. Rathbone, "Glenalvon," Tikokino, and held at the residence of Mrs. South, Waipawa, took place on Wednesday af ternoon for Mrs, H. Limbrick, who leaves next nionth on a holiday visit to Europe and England, Mrs. Rathbone, looking attractive in a floral ensemble and stone marten stole, received her guests in the draw-ing-room, assisted by Mrs. South, wear ing a smartly cut black afternoon frock. The guest of honour looked charming in her Coronation blue tunic frock, with hat and shoes to tone. Duriilg the afternoon a dainty spray of blush pink roses and camations tied with silver ribbon and encased in a eellophane casket, was handed to Mrs. Limbrick. A very dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostess, after which Mrs. Harry Rathbone asked Mrs. Limbrick to accept -a very handsome suede combination bag and travelling cushion, as a small token of the love and esteem iu which she was held by her manv friends in Waipawa. Mrs. Limbrick replied, thanking her friends for their beautiful gift, and assuring them that she would always remember their kindaeo>. '
