COMMERCIAL EXAMS.
Napier Chamber of Commerce Successes AWARDS PRESENTED . Twelve candidateg who were successful in paBsing certain subjects of the recently instituted Chamber of Commerce examinations were presented with certificates by the president of the Napier Chamber, Mr L. O. Rolls, last evening. The subjects in which the candidates passed were book-keep-ing, shorthand and typewriting. Two of the examinees passed with/ honours, with only 1 per cent of error, and one with distinction, with ' 2 per cent of error. "We are very pleased to see bo many candidates coming forward for these examinations," sajd Mr Rolls prior to presenting the certificates. "We realise that it is sometimes very difficult for boys and girls to obtain positions in offices, and if this Chamber of Commerce can help you, it will be pleased to do so." The successful candidates were the following: — Misses D. J. Roseby, B. M. Howard, J. A. Oarrer, M. M. Fox, M. M. Gardner, K. M. McSherry, D. E. G. Horsnell, E. J. Boston, W. G. Fuller, and Messrs S. B. Darling, G. A. Wood and F. F. Berry.
