Club's Annual Meeting ELECTJON OF; QFF1CERS The sixth annual general meeting of the Hastigns Harrier Qub was held in the Cbamber of Commerce room last evening, there being a large and enthusiastic attendance of members. Apologies were received from the Rev. D. J. Shaw, Messrs A. M. Robertson, J. Stickland and several members. The report and financial statement was read and adopted. The treasurer reported all subscriptions paid. The following offieers wero elected, subjeet to their acceptance ; — Pabron, the Rev. D. J. Shaw; president, Mr A. M. Robertson ; vice-presidents, Messrs K. Audersen, W. M. Angus, F. Henderson, J. Stickland, G. A. Maddison and the Rev. R. Waugh; handicapper, Mr F. Henderson; starter, Mr E. Wall; coach, Mr R. Sinclair ; timekeepers, Messrs Hendersen and Cahpman; ciub captam, Mr C. Wright; vice-Cap-tain, Mr B- Andersen; hon. secretary, Mr L Snadden ; assistant honorary secretary, Mr L. Webb ; honorary treasurer, Mr E, Heaton; honorary auditor, Mr L. A. Denton ; committee, captain, vice-captain, two secretaries, ti easurer, Messrs Ready, Cohen, Apperley, Coles. Tbe members expressed appreciation of the retiring secretary's (Mr W. Apperley) services. It was decided to hold the official opening on Salurday, April 10. Members oi the Napier club are to !ie jnvited. As sufficient support was in evidence the Thursday section of the cJub was inaugurated, Messrs J. O Shea and A. da Frere being appointed cgauisers. I' tining nigbts were fix fnr- Tu» sdays and Thursdays at Nelson Paris and the raceeourse. Tbe subseription was altered to tiva shillings all round. With tbe addition of new members and the members turning out again this year, it is evident that cross-coun-try running in tbis district will have another successful season in 1937. t
