WELLINGTON, Last Nigkt. Friendly Societies kad notking to fear from tke Government's polipy respecting national kealtk and superannuation, said tke Hon. No Government, ke said, could af- ■ ford to neglect tke wealtk of informa- ■ tion available as tke result of tke activiites of Friendly Societies. He . knew tkat their co-operation would be . offered to tke Government, wkick was seeking, by legislation, to do wkat kad been in tke minds of friendly societies all along, to remove tke spectre of poverty and distress. Tke invalidity pension kad given tke societies some rplief, but tkis went only a portlon of tke way tkat it was proposed to traverse.
