41 MEN ASPHYXIATED
Fire in Japane^e Coal Mine (Eecieved 18, 8.45 a.m.) TOKIQ, March 16. Forty-one men were . asphyxiated when fighting a fire in a coalmine at Osawa. The death-roll was increasqd owing to the driver of a reseuing motor-lorry being suff ocated at the pit mouth, thus condemning tke load of rescued nien to tkp same fate.
