The Hawke's Bay Hospital Board asked for ker resignation a month ago, following tke investigations of a special committee into tke outbreak of digease. * It is understood tkat representations are being made to the Minister of Health, tke Hon. P. Fraser, for tke reinstatement of Sister Wood pending tke iinding of a ministerial inquiry, wkick tke Hospital Board decided to invite at last Monday 's meeting. If tke Minister takes heed of suek representations, it is expected tkat ke will notify tke board immediately, so tkat action may be taken to reinstate tke sister before ske leaves next Monday, Tke managing secretary, Mr E. T. Eees, said tkis morning -'.hat ke knew of no snck representations; nor kad ke reeeived a letter, kowever, he would communicate with the ckairman, Mr 0. Lassen, regarding tke procedure to be adopted. Tke reinstatemenf of Sister Wood pending a ministerial inquiry will probably occasion another special meeting of the board.
