Mr A. E. Jull, Waipawa, is on a visit to Wellington. Mr Q. D- Wilson, Napier, kas been granted Fellowsjiap statug (F.P.A.jN.Z.) in tke New Zealand Society of Accountants. Mrs J. Wilson, Pertk, Scotland, and Mrs E. James, London, kave been visiting Napier and left to-day for Auckland. Gaptain J. G. Nolan, 1st Battaiion, Hawke's Bay Regiment, kas been promoted to Major, to dat© from December 23, 1936. Mr F. R, S. Ashton, of Napier,' Messrs J. M. Angus and N. B. Fippard, of. Hastings, and Mr A. J. Stead of Wairoa, kave been granted publicaccountancy status (A.P.A.N.Z,) in the New Zealand Society of Accountants. Mr E. J. Herrick, of Hastings, and kis son, Mr D. T. Herrick, of "Totoki" Station, Waipawa, left to-day for the South Island, where tkey intend spending several weeks wapiti skooting in the mountainous country of the Cold Lakes area. The Hon W. E, Barnard, left Napier by express train yesterday jnorning to inspect the ,camp of the Hawke's Bay Rfegiment at Dannevirke. Thence he proceeds to Wellington, where he is to address meetings on behalf of the Five Mijlion Club, and next week he wiU speak at Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill- He will return to Wellington to attend th© annual conference of tke Labour Party during Easter week.
