WAKARARA MEETING
• The annual meeting of the Wakarara Women's #Institute was held in the schoolroom, Mrs. Warlow presiding over a good attendanee of members and visitors and then handed the chair over to Miss Jull, who conducted the meeting. One new member was enrolled. The annual xeport and balance-sheet was read and adopted. The correspondence was dealt. with and Mesdames Langesen and Douglas were appointed delegates to attend the Southern Hawke's Bay annual federation meeting which is to be held in Waipukurau. The following committee was elected: President, Mrs. Warlow; committee, Mesdames Douglas, Langesen, Warlow and Miss E. Langesen. Mrs. Tod, who paid her first visit to Xakarara, gave a very interesting talk on institutes. A flour day competition. judged by'Mrs. Tod and Miss Jull, was won by Mrs. Barker. A emall gift was presented by the president on behalf of the members to Mrs. Bainbridge, who is leaving the district. Aft8r a dainty afternoon tea had been served the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem,
