Annual Meeting Held

TAUPO, Lasfc Night. The annual general meeting of the. Taupo Golf Club was held last evening, when there was . a good attendance of past and inteuding members. The president, Mr T. A. Heath, was in the chair, and after outlining the club's aetivities in the past season, com'plimented all eoncerned on the progress made. It is proposed to open the competitions on April 4, when the new layout of the course will be in use for the firsr time. This latter is » big improvement on the old course, and will relieve the congestion which was experienced at week-ends in previous years. The election of officers for the ensuing season resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr B. F. Moncur, M.P. ; presi dent, Mr T. A. Heath j vice-presi-dents, Messrs Branson, J. B. Morrison, fl- Minett, G. G Potts, J. P. Sheehan, J. Pelley, R. A. Laidlaw, W. -M. E. Martin, Dr. Armstrong and Cominander Green; club captain, Mr K. Rameka; vice-captain, Mr H. D. White; ladies' captain, Mrs Quarrie; ladies' secretary, xUrs W. B. Orf ; club seci-etary, Mr A. C. Garlick ; club treasurer, Mr N. Wrathall; hon. auditor, Miss A.
