MUNICIPAL THEATRE

1WO FIBST-OLASS PltMS. Carole Lombard arid May Robson have the principal featured roles in "Lady By Choir-e," at the Municipal Theatre. It tells the story of a fan daneer, who, as a publicity stunt, adopts a "mother." The cnother re fuses to leave her and battles with tooth and nail to remain in her new station. Once established, she takes an active interest in her ' ' daughter 's ' ' affairs, hoth business and love, and brings both to happy and profitable conclusions. The story seemed to be made for the cast, always an indication of capable performances by every player and of understanding and intelligent work by the direetor. The performances of May Robson in her role of Patsy Patterson, an aged derelict of the streets, is the finest this aecomplished player has rendered to date, while Miss, Lombard 's portrayal of the sophisticated, slightly hard-boiled Alabam, is one of her best. " I '11 Fix It," starring the popular Jack Holt . with Mona Barrie in support, is also at the Municipal. The film is a light treatment of the dramatic conflict between a political "fixer" and an independent school teacher who refuses to accede to his demands.
