FLOATING AERODROME
Use by Germans on Atlaniic Mai! Route LAUNCHING AT KIEL — - (Beceived 17, 2.10 p.m.) BEELIN, March 16. Christened the Friesenland by the Postmaster-General, Herr Ohnesorge, a floating aerodrome constructed by the Lufthansa company for a. naval base and air mail service to America was launched at Kiel. She is 6,500 tons and has a speed of 16 knots, and can catapult a 16-ton 1 mail-carrying aeroplane. Another floating aerodrome, the Schwabenland, will be stationed 1485 : miles off New York.
