PALMERSTON N., This day. Enthusiasm marked various welcomes extended to the Prime Minister, the Hon. M. J. Savage, when he visited Palmerston North yesterday in the course of his goodwill tour of a large part of the Dominion. It was a busy day for Mr. Savage. Arriving in the morning from Rotorua, he commenced his activities by visiting the three secondary schools and Massey College. There f ollowed a luncheon tendered by the Oity Oouncil and Kairanga County Council in conjunction and then a public ^eception was accorded him from the band rotunda in the Square. Later the Prime Minister was calledjipon to open the Convent garden party. In the" evening he addressed t very large gathering of citizens in the A. and produce hall.
