SPORTS FUND BENEFITS FROM DANCE AT KERERU
A very successful ma enjoyable dance was held in the Kereru. Hall, for th© purpose of raising; funds for the ©hildren's sports held in conjunctiort with the Olrig dog triale. Much hard Work had been put inte the preparations and the large number of visitors expressed their appreciation of the maiiner in which the arrangements had been carried out. The hall was decorated* with natlve greenery and flowers and the fioor was in excellent order. The eupper tables were decorated in shadfes of pink, and looked very effective. Great credit is due to the energetic committeo, the many willing helpers, and all those who helped in the way of donations and prizee, for making the- eveuing such a huge success. The musio was supplied hy Lew Munro, and suoper extras were played by Miss EJ. nd Miss D. Simmone, The duties or M.O. were capably carried out by Mr Gb Andersen. During the evening, a waltzingj competition was held, judged by Miss Smith and Mr Stuart, and this was won by Mr and Mrs F. Simmons, . ' ' • The winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss Phyllis Hale - and Mr 0. Simmons. . Among those present were: — Mrs Sheild, Mrs Brabant, Mr and Mrs G. Andersen, Mr and Mrs F.
