.Twyford Group The attendance of members at the March meeting of the Twyford Women 'b Institute, at which Mrs Manson presided was good. The annual reports, both. the secretary's and the Sewing Cifcle leader's, were read and adopted. The delegates cho'sen for the Northern Hawke's Bay annual general meeting to be held in Napier in ApriH werS Mesdames Manson and Burrell. "Suggestions for the year's programme," was the title of the roll call for the day. During the afternoon Mrs Donovan, of Tomoana, displayed dainty articles made from organdie, and also splendid mats made from dyed piece wool. A pleasing incident took place immediately following afternoon tea when Mna Manson, on. behalf of members, asked Mrs W. Hope (nee Rosalie Maeters) to accept a small wedding gift. Then Miss Jeaa Burge,. on behalf of the Twyford Bachelors and Spinsters, took the opportunity of presenting Mrs Hope with a handsome tea trolly. Mrs. Hope Buitably expressed her thanks. The competitions for the day were kindly judged by Mesdames Donovan and Harper, of Te Awapuni W3men's Institute, and resulted as follows:— Jar preserving pears, Mrs. Herbison 1, Mrs. Mastera .2, Mrs. Manson 3; three best blooms, Mrs. McLeod, 1, Mrs. Manson 2, Miss Anderson 3, An entertaining competition, arranged by Mrs. Masters, was won by; Mrs. Budge, One new member was enrolled. The election of o£Q.cers for the en* suing year was as follows: — President, Mrs. A. J. Burge; vice-presidents, Miss McMichael and Mrs. Masters; secretary, Mrs. A. Manson; treasurer, Mrs. Carrington; committee, Mesdames Thompson, Tweedie, Nicoll, Orbell, Knucky, and Miss Jean Burge.
