A very prime lin© of 42 mediumgrown Down cross wethers, a fine quality mutton entry, sold at 22/2. Down from Argyll 23 well-framed medium-finished Wethers, being good summer mutton, realised 26/-. A small entry of maiden, 4 and 6-th ewes, prime finished, brought 20/-. A line of 24 light to medium ewes, in freezing order, made 17/4. Nine well-framed, early shorn prime finished wethers, brought 26/10. An entry of 89 small grown, light finished black face lambs, in store order, made 17/10. A small entry of medium-growfl Down cross lambs made 24/-,, STOKE SHEEP. Un account Tamumu Station, 225 late shorn wether lambs, medium grown and in sound order realised 15/-. On entry of 238 late small to medium grown lambs in quite go°d condition being in much better order than they looked, were passed at 16/1. On account A. H. Hood, Gwavas, 222 medium grown woolly white-face ewes in sound hardy order, made 25/11. On account Stratford Bros. 128 wellframed 6-year ewes, well mouthed, being out with Southdown rams since March 1, and carryifig a good slipe, made 21/4. Off hill country at Porangahau, 192 small to medium grown early shorn 2-th ewes, uneven in quality, made 26/1. Down from Gisborne and on account Mr H. Bridge, an entry of 991 early shorn Well-grown 2-th wethers, in sound order, were sold at' 23/6. The good condition of these wethers showed that they had been well driven by road. An entry of medium grown white face wether lambs itt light condition but in sound order, brought 14/-. On' account Tamumu Station, 179 6year ewes, poorly mOuthed, a good fattening proposition, a large percentage being readily finished off, brought 14/11. ,On account G. Severenson, 160 2, and 4-th ewes, small grown, early shorn, were passed at 27/1. On account A. "Johnston, Wanstead, an entry of medium grown black-face lambs, in quite fair store order, made 16/-. An entry of 282 small-grown, Bhorn, white-face lambs, in light condition, made 12/4. A well-woolled line of 315 white-face, fairly well grown wether lambs, the tops in forward order, were passed M ' 18/1/ On account Mrs L. Collins, Homewood, Otane, 390 small grown, blackface lambs, uneven in condition, the tops being in quite fair ordef, made 15/7. . On account Mr A. L. McCormick, Alarakeke, 117 2 and 4-tli Down cross ewes, m fine condition, all killable, brought 22/7. In from Wilder Settlement, 106 aged 1 ewes, in very low condition, sold at ' 7/8.
