Large Crowd Attends Popular Gatheriiig RECORD TAKINGS

MAKOTUKU, Last Nigbt. The committee of the Makotuku District Sports dub is to be congratulated on the eplendid suceess of the gathering which was held on Saturday. Although the prospects wero not good early in the xnorning, the weather improved as time went on. The rain held oif, and altbough dull it was an ideal day for the venture. The takinga at the gate was a record for the club, as also were the door takings for the dance iu the evening. The events were got off promptly, and all the officials worked hard to make a suceess of th© meeting.
