WOMAN INJURED

Knocked Down by Truck Knocked down by a truck on the Napier-Haslings road at 4.10 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Miss Taylor, of McGrath street, Napier, sustained severe bruises and cuts that neeessitated ker removal to the Napier Publio Hospital. A companion who was crossittg the road beside her when the accident occurred, escaped injury. Th© two young women had been passengers in a Government bus which set them down in the vicinity of the Napier Boys' High School, and entered the road behind the bus when a truck, driven by Mr Leslie Gooday, a fruit merchant, of Waipukurau, proceeding towards Hastings, struck Miss Taylor, and knocked. her down. She was removed to her home nearby, and attended by a doctor, who after giving treatment, ordered her removal to the hospital^ Her condition is reported to be satisfactory.
